Account Deletion
Permanent account removal and data deletion
LocalMatch respects your right to delete your account and all associated data. This page explains how to permanently delete your account through the app or via email request.
1. Delete Account In-App (Fastest)
Steps:
- Open the LocalMatch mobile app
- Navigate to Settings (gear icon)
- Scroll to the bottom and tap DELETE ACCOUNT (red button)
- Read the warning: "This action cannot be undone..."
- Tap Delete to confirm
- Your account will be permanently deleted within 7 days
⚠️ Important:
- This action CANNOT be undone
- All your games, ratings, messages will be deleted
- You will be immediately logged out
- You can re-register with the same phone after 7 days
2. Delete Account via Email
Steps:
- Send an email to support@localmatch.in
- Subject line: "Account Deletion Request"
- Include in the email:
- Your registered phone number
- Your name (as shown in profile)
- Statement: "I request permanent deletion of my LocalMatch account and all associated data"
- Our support team will verify your identity
- Account deleted within 7 business days

Registered Phone: +91XXXXXXXXXX Name: [Your Name] I request permanent deletion of my account and all associated personal data, including games, messages, ratings, and profile information. 3. What Gets Deleted

| Profile name, avatar, interests | 🗑️ Deleted |
| Games you hosted or joined | 🗑️ Deleted |
| Messages and chats | 🗑️ Deleted |
| Ratings and reviews | 🗑️ Deleted |
| Location history | 🗑️ Deleted |
| Push notification tokens | 🗑️ Deleted |
| Error logs (anonymized) | ⏳ Deleted after 30 days |
4. What's NOT Deleted
For legal and safety reasons, the following may be retained:
- Anonymized records: Games with player counts (no PII)
- Legal records: Dispute resolution documents (if applicable)
- Regulatory logs: Transaction logs for audit compliance
No personally identifiable information is retained in these records.
5. Deletion Timeline
In-App Deletion:
Immediate: Account access revoked, logged out
Within 24 hours: Profile and games removed from discovery
Within 7 days: All data permanently deleted from database
Email Request Deletion:
Upon receipt: Support team verifies request
Within 3-5 days: Verification complete, deletion initiated
Within 7 business days: All data permanently deleted
6. After Your Account is Deleted
✅ You can re-download the app
✅ You can register again with the same phone number after 7 days
✅ A new account will start fresh (no history)
✅ You may receive one final confirmation email
